James Victore is an American art director, designer, and author. He believe that a graphic designer could make a difference with how they present their work. He would raise awareness on his beliefs and the social issues that is happening in our world today. He mentioned that we as graphic designers should be able to talk about issues regarding social, cultural and political issues. James Victore values what he beliefs and stands by them. Much seen in his artwork he is anti racism and would protest on these values.
Some of his work:
1. The Baby Bottle(a.k.a.Teach Your Children Well), 1992

This artwork argues that racist values are fed to children from an early age. The baby bottle showcased with markings down the side towards race and ethnicity was to show the audience the matter of fact feeding of healthy and unhealthy ideas to children who accept any and all nourishment.
2. The Death Penalty Mocks Justice, 1995

This poster was produced for the NAACP, and it shows how racism influences social policy.
3. Racism and the Death Penalty, 1993

This artwork was borrowed from the children's game Hangman. James Victore addresses this issue about racism and the issues regarding the state-sanctioned execution in the US. The poster is very clear and straight forward making the viewer understand it.
