Questionnaire
1. Based on the presentation and work from Part 1, what aspect of your work do you feel needs improvement?
Based on my final presentation and the feedback that I have to make my work more less generic with the theme and improve my design. I have to explain and expand my research and process throughout the presentation and for part 2 and highlight my topic so it can be easily understood, this will help improve my outcome. I need to collect more information and research on my topic to support what I am trying to say also to look into different research methods of collecting data.
2. What are your initial ideas for the income of your envisioned information piece?
a. What would you say is the ultimate purpose of your envisioned information piece?
The final outcome for part 1 shows the similarities and differences in people whilst they are dreaming/sleeping. The main concept for my topic was the fear of dreaming, I researched novels that relate back to the fears of dreaming and the meaning of the dreams however I realised that they did not connect probably which I will have to improve for part 2.
b. What do you hope to achieve with the piece?
For the envisioned information piece I hope to collect more data and research to answer my questions on how to overcome the fears of dreaming. And how its okay to have fears of dreams. Showing different types of dreams people can have.
c. How does the data from your research contributes to the design of the piece?
3. What design processes excite you and why?
For now, I am open to a lot of options because most of them are new to me so it interests me to try them. However one that I am particularly interested in is woodcarving and laser cutting, I watched a video on woodcarving and it looked very fun to shape out the sculpture. I hope I will be able to try it out.
4. What don't you know but need to for your project?
a. What skills might you need to develop?
I have to be able to collect data from different sources rather than just surveys.
b. What other information might you need?
Research about practitioners that practice the design process.
c. How might you acquire these skills or requirements?
By researching I will be able to interview people with the right questions that will help improve my project and support what I claim.
