WEEK 1 - Three Potential Ideas

For this blog, our lecturer told us to come up with three potential ideas for our project. The outcome of this project can be about anything. The theme for this project is Science, Economics, Politics and Society. The lens for this project is Freedom, Truth, Individualism, Collectivism, Ownership and Ethics. I've look up to some of the things related to me to give me some ideas and inspiration.

IDEA 1 : STEREOTYPES

The first idea that I thought of was about stereotypes, there are a lot of stereotypes right now but I wanted to focus on towards girls who wear scarfs and what they wear. As a Muslim girl myself, I do wear a scarf however, people around me who usually have seen me wear them get confuse and judge me if I do not wear them. They see me and say I'm being rebellious or I am not religious enough. Wither I wear them or not, in the end it is my choice and my decision. There are a lot of Muslim girls who do not wear a scarf and they are much more religious than the one that do wear them. I would like to educate people to not be so stereotypical and give more information on how the person would be feeling.

IDEA 2 : MENTAL HEALTH INFLUENCED BY THE INTERNET (COVID 19)

The second idea was about how the internet can affect ones mental health. Nowadays people spend more time at home because of the Corona Virus and due to the fact they are not allow to go outside. I think this have affected a lot of peoples mental health because they are being in a situation in which they have not been before and the only way of communication is through social media. However, being on the internet for too long is also bad for you which doubles the trouble. But I do know that the internet can also be a great place to help with happiness. I would like to explore the positives and negatives in the internet and how it can effect the audience.

IDEA 3 : DREAMS

The third idea that I thought of was about dreams, one thing that I love to do is sleep because I love to have dreams. Dreams is a place where I can make up anything I want and no one can have a problem with it. Its my only form of 'Freedom'. In my opinion what you dream on and how often you dream or have imaginations shows a lot about a person. I did my portfolio based on 'Dreamer' (INFP) which also stands for introverted, intuitive, feeling and perceiving. I wanted to explore more on this topic because I think it is very interesting how there are 16 different personalities, I did a quiz and mine was INFP which only made up of 4% of the population.
