WEEK 12 - PHOTONOVEL CASE STUDIES

I looked up the movies 'Cyberbully' and 'Breakthrough' and studied how the movie portray the characters and scenes.

A woman tries to help her teenage daughter when she becomes the victim of online bullying. This movie had a very blue undertone whenever the actress was portrayed sad.

True story about John who falls through the ice on a frozen lake in Missouri. He was trapped underwater for more than 15 minutes, rescuers bring John back to the surface and rush him to the nearest hospital. the 14-year-old boy continues to fight for his life as his parents pray for a miracle. Just like Cindy Sherman and the movies, I want to portray my photonovel with expressions that will allow the audience to notice the emotions of the scenes.

The tone of this scene in the movie was very blue indicating the emotional and sorrow feeling to the audience when John was under the water. The light shining on him lets us focus on the important aspect of the scene.
